I recently completed a fun project for a yoga products company called Halfmoon. They hired Art Director Josh Sears to come up with a new website to highlight their wares, and Josh hired me to do the logo. I was happy to help. What a great opportunity to combine my interests in art and yoga. How lucky!
After lots of sketches, ideas, and rounds of revisions I finally came up with the logo you see above. The client wanted something memorable, bold and simple. The lotus flower, in the yoga tradition, symbolizes enlightenment, divinity, fertility, wealth, and knowledge. In fact, many Indian deities are depicted sitting on a fully blossomed lotus flower. So I stylized that imagery and combined it with a capital H for a logo the client fell in love with.
