a note from the basement dweller :)

July 6th, 2008

I have officially clocked one week of living in my brother and Alison’s basement. It’s dark down there (Colin is out getting night lights as we speak) and I often bump my knees when attempting to find the bathroom in the middle of the night. But it’s also very spacious. We have our own bedroom [...]

Calling all miracles. You are needed front and center immediately.
There’s so much going on right now that I’ve been quiet about here. But I think I finally need to open it up and just ask for some good vibes, if you have any to spare…
The thing is: During May’s blog break, we sold our house [...]

August 1st, 2007

Yesterday my brother was promoted to a Captain in the Marine Corps. Things with Alison are pretty scary right now. We found out that not only is the chemo not working, but radiation is not an option either. The program was not approved by the FDA. So that leaves us with trying different forms of chemo and calling all the specialists in the country to see if [...]

November 20th, 2006

Today we learned that the chemotherapy is not working on Alison’s cancer… My brother’s blog has more information. His grace astounds me.
Alison, miracles do happen. We’re praying for one all the time.
