Baby bump - 14.5 weeks

August 19, 2008

The 14.5 week baby bump is much bigger than the 13 week. I can actually feel it growing. (It’s not the most comfortable feeling in the world, but pretty cool!) I’m still super tired every day. Trying hard to get things done in between naps. I’m ready for my energy to return!

Hey, you can even see your fine husband/photographer in there, sneaking in with the shadow on the wall behind you! I’m almost as prominent as our incoming bean.

I am selfishly so excited about this pregnancy because I can’t wait to see how your work changes once you join the rest of us saps. I am also praying you’ll be inspired to illustrate a children’s book that I can one day buy for my daughter.

Wow, you’re smiling for a picture?!? A real smile, too :) This baby is already changing you, pretty mama!

I can see the bump and it doesn’t just look like you drank a whole bunch of beer anymore! Beautiful. That’s my niephew in there :) Can’t wait!!

Let your energy be zapped. Nap all you want. Your body is busy creating a *human being.* That’s a big deal in my book.

Hooray for baby bump! You look happy and glowing too. I’m sure you’ll start to get your energy level back very soon - mine crept back in at 15 weeks. And yes, I swear I can feel myself getting bigger too - it makes sense that all that stretching and growing wouldn’t be entirely pain free.

  10. Christine Says:

someone once told me the reason you are so exhausted in the first trimester is that your body is expending the same amount of energy as mountain climbing - every day! it will pass and you will feel energized again……

there is such a complete-ness when children enter your world…all the focus changes…all the plans change…you’ll be wearing a new pair of eyes that show the universe in an entirely different light…you’ll see that there is a divine plan…nothing is random…it’s beautiful

This is so exciting. My best friend is being pregnant almost the same time as you. I can’t see her as we are very far from each other. But looking at you is like I can picture her, too.

I’m so glad for you, Penny. Enjoy! This has to be one of the most beautiful moments in a woman’s life!

    Congratulations! ♥

What a sweet photo! I love the shadow. The second trimester is really great–the sleepiness and nausea fade and you start to feel the baby move, which is totally magical.

    All the best!
