four pieces

February 15, 2007

Still not caught up on sleep… we’ve been working to get the house in some kind of order for Colin’s mom, who is visiting this weekend (and bringing curtains she made for us! sweet!). The house is coming along–just really slowly due to illustration work (flow again, yay!). I’ve been doing a lot of work lately that I’m really happy with… more on that a little later.

I promised to show you the final paintings that I had in the Girly Show. Unfortunately, I didn’t get good shots of them before the show, and the ones taken at the show were wobbly and off-centered, so no prints will be made of these… boo to that, right? Sorry… :(

Here they are… all are sold except the green one with the birds.

“I am”

“All is Bright”

“Float”

“Spinning with Birds”

sleep-deprived-but-still-kicking… lopie

I love the sort of dirty texture they have (if that makes sense),
and the muted colours! What medium are they in?

    Penelope-
I’m interested in getting prints made of some of my watercolors, but I don’t know where to begin. In this post, it sounds like you work from your own photos when you do prints. Hope you don’t mind, but I’d like to pick your brain. Where do you get your prints made? How do you decide on paper, gloss, matte, etc.? I’ve had some stuff done through VistaPrints and CafePress and have been happy with the results, but I’m not to sure about the quality. I’m just lost. Hopefully, you can point me somewhere. Thanks, Karen

BTW, I’m really sorry you won’t be doing prints of these … I love the one with the bubbles.
