grateful
Walking the stairs into my studio this morning, flipping on the lights, turning on the space heater and the Pandora… I paused and realized that I feel extremely grateful for this right now. For jobs I’m excited about (another piece for a typography campaign that I love and setting up a web presentation I have tomorrow), for my gumball colored studio table, for the bits of torn paper and hand-written notes around my desk. This is good.
Nothing much more to say today. Gotta get to work.
Hope your day is good.

Hey, I recognize those tree tops.
Love those colors. Enjoy it while you can. Soon it will be baby, baby, baby time. I know!
Oh, Pandora is a big part of my studio life as well! I think the good vibes are in the air today. Puttering around today, I am so hopeful and eager for the future and the wonderful surprises it holds.
Love the snapshot. “Gumball colors” is a great description. :)
Holy smokes…Pandora is AWESOME!!!!! Thanks for turning me on to this. Love your site and posts. Always a treat.
I LOVE to see shots of artists’ workspaces. Something inspiring about seeing the way another creative person builds their space.
I’m glad you recognize your bounties. It is a very bleak time work wise for many artists. I felt so graced this month and last to have many painting sales, but illus – oh…so…slow…
oh, that sounds divine. enjoy! :)
would be fun to swap painting spaces for a day…and use up someone else’s scraps to create something new. hmmm.
and yup, so much to be grateful for, i agree!
Hi Penelope, Other than the fact that I am a Pandora junkie, this is totally off topic. But, I was just peaking through the may/june issue of my daughter’s Cricket magazine. Her photo of her brother Liam was a winner in their photo contest that month, so we still have it around. Then I noticed the cover and said to my daughter, “hey, that looks like my friend Penelope’s work”. Which immediately occurred to me as kind of funny because I have never really met you in real life. But, apparently, because I read your candid and friendly blog, I have decided on some subconscious level that you and I are buddies.
So, I decided to stop by your site today and see how my “friend” Penelope is doing. Glad to see things are just peachy.
:) Betsy
