i used to trade off journalling with my 'dominant' (right) hand and my left... the stuff that came out in the use of the left hand was almost spooky ...deep psychological insights from the simplicity of the struggle to create legible letters... kind of like touching in to the honest child inside. i just read your post about journalling again and i am so grateful for it, because i've had this voice niggling and haggling at me for some time to get back into it.
and such great great things came when i did it regularly. i also appreciate your candor about the solitariness of 'art'-ing... and the need for community, most especially creative community.

thank you for being out here in cyberspace.

Thanks Christiane! :) I'm so flattered! hee!

And Michele: yes, I think so. I got it in New Orleans and it's very colorful. Like pinata guts colorful. It's supposed to bring good luck. I heart it. Do you have one too?
